I've had Assam Laksa before - once in a Kuala Lumpur airport restaurant (not great) and two other times when it was made by friends from their family recipes. Naturally, the homemade ones were the best, and this one from Jimmy's just didn't do it for me. However I have heard that Jimmy's can be hit and miss - maybe this was just a miss day.
Cost: $10 for Assam Laksa.
Value: Good value. It's slightly more expensive than the traditional laksa, which I reviewed here.
Speed: Efficient and fast. They have got it down to a fine art.
